My Litany

                 You are the wave and the sea,
                 the free kite and the breeze.
                 You are the lotus on the snow mountain
                 and the new branches of the tree.
                 You are the round compass of the ship
                 and the bright lightning suddenly at night.

                 However, you are not the leaf in the wind,
                 the fish on the board,
                 or the noise of thunder.
                 And you are certainly not the calm harbor.
                 There is just no way you are the calm harbor.

                 It is possible that you are the oasis in the dessert,
                 maybe even the dim candle in the darkness,
                 but you are not even close
                 to being the seed in the corner of a stone.

                 And a quick look in the mirror will show
                 that you are neither the cat under the table,
                 nor the imposing lion on the prairie.

                 It might interest you to know,
                 speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,
                 that I am the fresh air in the morning.

                 I also happen to be the singing bird,
                 the dancing bee flying over a flower,
                 and the staff book on the piano.

                 I am also the sunshine in the forest,
                 and the sunny boy's blue jeans.
                 But don't worry, I am not the wave and the sea.
                 You are still the wave and the sea.
                 You will always be the wave and the sea,
                 not to mention the free kite and —somehow—the breeze.

THIS I BELIEVE

Science and technology——this I believe can promote the progress of human civilization. Some people may doult that the development of science and technology will bring some negative effects to society, like pollution, biological weapons and genetically altered food. However it has much more positive effects.
I believe in science and technology, which is the results of experience and analysis. We humans are small in front of nature, but with science and technology we can do almost any thing. Before the age of the steam engine, we can't imagine the high efficient transportation. Without the invent of lights, we will still suffer the darkness at night. Many years ago, the story of Chang E was a dream for human beings. But now we have set our feet on the moon because of the success of manned spacecraft engineering. With the progress of medical research, we have overcome a lot of diseases which were incurable before, and  the average life of human have kept on increasing during the past several decades…

 It is an IT age today. Computer has already changed our life. The application of computer science can be found in every area. With the help of computer, we can deal with a great deal of datas, like the ticket system of an airport or a train station. The special software desined for a company like Database Management System can improve operational efficiency greatly. Besides we can do a lot of dangerous work and research due to the application of artificial intelligence.
Thanks to science and technology. We have improved our daily life: communication is more convenient ; travelling is much faster; shopping is much easier… Although it does bring some negative effects at the same time, it is still the only power that makes progress to society. As long as we abandon the negative effects, our future is bright. I am now curious and excited about the unimaginable changes of human beings by science and technology. What about you?

Hi, I'm coming！

     Hello, everyone. I am glad to lauch my first blog. In the following writings, I'd like to share something about films, science and my personal experience in life with you.
     Life is like coffee, the way to sucess is a little bitter, full of tears and sweat, but the fresh and sweet flavor will come out if you add something. I am very lucky because I have so many friends and classmates. We come and struggle together for our dreams. No pains, no gains. To be a useful man in society, we devote ourselves to work and study, a little boring but worth it. These blogs will be the records of my growth, both happiness and sadness. Besides, as a movie fan, I will introduce some good films to you, such as Painted Skins, Seven Swords and  Let The Bullets Fly. If you are a science lover, we can also talk about some latest news about science and technology. Life is wonderful after all, don't you think so?

      Take computer science for example. Nowadays, cloud becomes a fashionable word, for example cloud storage in Google. However, what does cloud means here?  The cloud is a metaphor for the Internet which means it is an abstraction hiding the complex infrastructure of the internet. All these concepts about cloud come from cloud computing. In the case of electricity, users can simply use it. They do not need to worry where the electricity is from, how it is generated, or transported. At the end of the month, they will get a bill for the amount of electricity they consumed.The idea behind cloud computing is similar: The user can simply use storage, computing power, or specially crafted development environments, without having to worry how these work internally.As the data becomes so large in the age of technology, the application of cloud computing will be the key to solve the problems and certainly lead to great changes in our daily life.
       Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration. That's right. Not all of us can be a man like Bill Gates, but at least we can be ourselves.
